Here are some suggestions for questions to ask current students and school reps:

What type of school would be best for me? Small, large, rural, urban, single gender, co-ed, military, pre-professional arts, etc.
In what part of the US would be a great place for me to attend school?
What school best fits my learning style and interests?
No one in my family has ever attended boarding school. Are there other students like me?
How interested is the student in attending a boarding school?
What are you all about? What's your school's mission and philosophy?
What are the school’s special programs, extra-curriculur activities and basic curriculum?
When are sporting events held? Will we play other prep schools?
What type of application test does the school require? What’s the process and timeline?
What is the school’s average college acceptance rate?
Will the student have a single or double room? Or maybe a suite? Do all students have roommates?
What is the teacher/student ratio at the school? In the classroom and in the dormitory?
What is the average class size?
What days of the week will I have class?
What is the tuition and what are the financing options?
How does the school keep in touch with parents? Will my parents be aware of how I'm doing in school?
